Testimonials on Dan Low's French book "The Art of Self-Combat – Maximize your potential", republished in 2007
under the title: "Maximize Your Potential With Powerful Tools... And No Stress":

Dan Low gives us a whole series of down-to-earth dialogues, which enable us to better control ourselves and progress. The many situations presented in this book thus permit us to combat our chief enemy, which we are often ignorant of – that is: ourselves. The animal imagery provides easy memory recall; the concepts, for having experimented them while accompanying others, will be well received by your collaborators. Midway between classical and eastern philosophy, this book allows you to invest differently in the best capital you have: yourself.

N°12 (Sept. 2002) – The monthly newsletter of Hubert Jaoui, author, scientist, philosopher, and president of GIMCA a management training organization.

The Art of Self-Combat by Dan Low (Village Mondial)
The Singaporean origins of the author, a management consultant and corporate trainer in personal development, partly explain the originality of this book, a self-training manual in 4 sessions. In a lively style we are led to discover our "monkeys" and our "tigers". We are invited to "call in the snake" and "roll with the pigs". A book which can be read in a weekend, and reread tranquilly to draw from the many useful advice to "master illusion" and attain one’s objectives.

THE QUESTIONS YOU POSED:  I want to conquer my fears and give the best of myself – 05/30/2002.

 A BOOK, A RESPONSE

The book " The Art of Self-Combat – Maximize your potential ", Editions Village Mondial. The author Dan Low, international consultant and trainer in managerial development.

"Everybody’s looking at you": and bang, we feel uneasy and vulnerable! "You haven’t done this, you haven’t done that": anxiety and stress come a-galloping! These fears and incisive thoughts one turns and tosses in one’s head are so hard-boiled! And, on top, these old demons put a curb on our personal and professional efficiency.

To get the upper hand on this undeclared, self-inflicted psychological war, Dan Low proposes to self-train with the help of lived-in experiences and tests. Main line of the exercise: the reader is the spectator of a seminar, organized in four sessions, in which trainees and virtual trainers fire dialogues.

Down with the old bugs! For Dan Low, the force of the subconscious should not be underestimated. Surreptitiously, negative thoughts shoot their way from the wells of our past experiences and perceptions and trigger emotions. But it is possible to engage them in a merciless combat. By identifying them, evaluating their force, even simulating a situation that lures them out in the open. All one has to do next is to tie their heels to a counter-thought.

Objective: to be in harmony with ourselves in order to set free our potential.
