Letter to President Obama

Dear Mr. President:

Further to my previous letter, I would first like to congratulate you on your historic election: a new era has begun. I would also like to draw your attention to one of the biggest issues overlooked by the past Presidents of the United States of America.

The United States spends billions on defense. Yet millions feel insecure and get beaten up daily by a handful of terrorizing thoughts known as the Gang of Four (G4) and their allies.

The US military expenditure is expected to rise above 700 billion dollars in year 2009! (Source: Center for Arms Control and Non-Proliferation, February 20, 2008).

The cost of war in Iraq and Afghanistan is estimated to be about $170 billion for the 2009 spending alone (Christopher Hellman and Travis Sharp). But what is done to protect people from getting internally slaughtered by the G4 (You want / You can’t / What’s going to happen? / You’re going to lose)?

The population is left at the mercy of these subconscious thoughts — often with drugs and alcohol as alternative means of defense. Nukes, missiles or warships are of no avail to the everyday man and woman against their merciless attacks.

The average citizen gets clobbered at least twice a day! Multiply that by 365 days and by the number of adult citizens in the US, and you will get the number of hours lost in productivity. Convert those hours into dollars and you have untold billions going up in smoke.

As the new Commander-in-Chief you do not want to lose this war to the deadly G4 and their allies — the biggest threat to this world. In fact, this should be the war of the century. The war on fear, greed, ignorance, and insecurity. And towards a victory over ourselves: YES WE CAN!

This is a global village where many controlled by the G4 and other coercive thoughts are turning to self-destructive behaviors. Suicides and violences are on the rise. The younger generation is most vulnerable. As President, one of your priorities could be to help stabilize the minds of the young — or they may end up the next generation of losers.

One-third of Americans are living with extreme stress and nearly half of Americans (48%) believe that their stress has increased over the past five years. Stress is taking a toll on people — contributing to health problems, poor relationships and lost productivity at work, according to a new national survey released a year ago by the American Psychological Association in Washington, DC.

As a denizen of this global village I’m as concerned as you are for world peace and prosperity. However, a corporate and national strategy to reverse the present economic situation exists. And you may also count on me as a veteran G4 gangbuster, should you feel you could turn this century into the greatest of centuries.

I’ll leave you with your own motto: YES WE CAN!

Warmest regards,
